The FAI aims to make football accessible to anyone and everyone who wishes to play the game. Developing the game and making it accessible are the underlying aims of the variety of projects that are implemented by all FAI staff and are outlined in this site. These projects are delivered by dedicated teams namely the Grassroots Unit, Player Development Unit, Women's Football Development Unit and Education Unit operating within the FAI Technical Department. Working closely with all affiliates, leagues, clubs, local agencies and the Irish Sports Council, UEFA and FIFA, the FAI's Technical Department aims to develop football for both current and future generations throughout Ireland.
