08 March 2010
Dear Colleague
Thank you for the positive response you have given the Grassroots Referee Program. We are delighted to be able to anounce the dates of the first two modules of the 2010 Program.
Following feedback from all of you, we will have two inputs in Module One and Module Two will be the annual Junior Seminars. We have also spread the dates so you will be travelling in (hopefully) better weather and brighter evenings. Module Three will commence in September and that will complete the 2010 Program.
They will follow last year’s format of interactive and group workshops, and I want to thank all the Observers and Tutors who facilitated these modules on your behalf. They too have been undergoing their own training program and I thank them for their enthusiastic commitment to this process. I also want to acknowledge and thank the local leagues and the branches of the Irish Soccer Referee Society for their invaluable assistance and input.
Please note the following:
- Please note that attendance at these modules is compulsory to maintain your licence. Attendance will be taken and recorded.
- If you are unable to attend your specific Module, you are more than welcome to attend another League/Area Module.
- Light Refreshments (tea/coffee/buiscuits) will be provided where possible.
- Travel expenses will not be paid
Finally, if any referee has still not completed their registration in returning the completed form and registration fee, they must do so as a matter of urgency.
If you have any comments, suggestions or observations on this program or other refereeing issues, please do not hesitate to contact me at referees@fai.ie
It only remains to wish you every success in your refereeing, and to thank you for all your efforts at local and school levels.
Best wishes and kind regards
James
